Diagnosis, etc.

Well it turns out that they actually do not know what is wrong with my mom. They are keeping the current diagnosis of psychomotor seizures/epilepsy as a “working” diagnosis. Basically they are saying that the EEG she had showed some irregularities; however, due to her scar tissue in her brain from surgery and multiple courses of radiation, it is impossible to tell if what she was experiencing are actually seizures, but since she has had no recurrence since being placed on medication, they are assuming that this is the diagnosis. We all know what happens when you ass-u-me. ;)

Otherwise, it has been a fairly slow week for us. New Year’s Eve was nice as we did not have children overnight and could sleep in. We were at Seth’s boss’ home and played Rock Band, where I rocked the mic and scored in the 90’s but mostly 100 in all the songs I sang. Who knew I could actually sing in tune?

As for my current struggles of keeping my patience with my daughters and keeping a tidy home… Well, let’s just say I have fallen quite flat on my face with that. (Especially the tidy home.) I must do dishes two to three times a day and still I have dishes everywhere. I am encouraged that my family is eating much better since I’ve come home. It is really nice to have the peace of mind that what they eat is not processed for the most part.

I’ll post again soon. Not much else to touch on. God Bless.
