Journey to Beauty, Week 3
So, the time management thing: Fail. I think it’s a little better, but I still have a hard time getting around to doing stuff on a daily basis and managing my time better. Meh. It’s really going to be important later and I will keep striving to make my time work better, but for the most part, I think I am going to focus on other things to make me feel special and beautiful. We took a trip to our local Dollar Tree specialty store and I bought a couple of cheapo things specialty items to facilitate my Journey to Beauty. I bought a pedicure implement and a sugar body scrub. I haven’t tried them out yet, but I’m looking forward to, perhaps on Saturday, trying them out. Thus, this week, my goal is to do things for myself that help me to feel beautiful and sexy and elegant. I might even paint my toenails. I think I might even break out the Wii Fit this week too. I looked at my play history and it has been like a million years a month since I’ve worked out. I’m actually missing it, which when you think about it, is a lot of progress for me. I have hated my body for nearly 29 years, so it’s finally the time that I started treating it the way that God intended for me to. I really need to steal borrow the copy of My Fitness Coach from ChurchPunkMom again since her Wii has been broken for a million years a month or so and is collecting dust not getting used. Maybe in my time of having it in the home I’ll do more than just my profile and actually attempt a workout. This will make my husband really happy! We, as women, need to start taking better care of ourselves and loving ourselves more. That is really the whole point of this blog topic. As wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, employees, or whatever other word you use to describe yourself, we are always giving to others and never giving back to ourselves. I’m starting to learn as I study Proverbs 31, that we also need to give to ourselves or we are never going to be able to successfully give to our families or friends or bosses. So do something today that will help you feel beautiful so that you can make your world more tolerable.
